I would like to hang the frame of my 57 1/2 ton from the rafters of my shop so I can prep it and paint it at a convenient height. It's already sandblasted. I've got the rafters braced for the load.
I thought I'd use several of the holes in one side of the frame and temporarily install eye bolts and then hang the frame with chain and hooks.
Would this method put any unusual strain on the frame and cause it to deform?
Am I missing any other problems with this method? Please let me know your thoughts or experience with this idea. I put it here instead of in the paint area because I thought more people would see it.
