I ended up with the trans., it is Dodge. It was part of a package deal which included a rebuilt 57 Desoto Hemi, a 56 Dodge medium duty bellhousing with 13" flywheel and pressure plate. Also various spare parts. My guess is that sometime back the original engine went sour in the Dodge and someone snuck in the Desoto Hemi. I havnt 100% verified that the trans is 1:1 but Im pretty sure it is. I know this is Bowtie/GMC country but if anyone has a line on a clutch for this please let me know.
