I have used pumps from the walker kit 15306A, and from CarbKing. Same results.

I use the Walker kit mostly because my local Oreilles Auto carries it on the shelf.
I have stayed with the original metal needle and have not tried the rubber tip needle yet.

I think you right. The key is to drive the truck more.
