Where did you get your accelerator pump?

I have heard that the Ethanol in the gas is bad for these carter diaphragms. Supposedly if they stay wet they are all right, but if you don't drive for a while they will crack.

As it happens, I had two to choose from. One came from a Walker kit that I got with the carb, The other came from "The Carburetor Shop"

I put the Walker one in because it looked much newer. The one from the Carburetor shop looked to be NOS. The brass shaft was quite oxidized and it was dusty. Not meaning to disparage the Carburetor Shop kit, by any means. It was the more complete and better kit.

The material of the diaphragms was also somewhat different. My hope is that the newer looking one was made with Ethanol in mind.

We will see, and if it fails, I will put the other one in and give it the test..
