DrewP Shop Shark D Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 2,393 Glassboro,NJ	The pin is in a hole thru the distributor shaft and its drive gear. It holds the gear to the shaft. Unless the pin is dislodged it should not prevent you from removing the distributor from the block. Drew
