I’m not sure the ’41 had any kind of a hood ornament. Mine and the others I’ve seen just have a curved “bullnose" that sorta matched the shape of the center hinge and curves down to meet the top of the grill. At the hood end it is bolted to the top of the radiator support and at the bottom it is bolted to the upper grill. The front stub of the hood center hinge fits right inside of it.
