Sorry about not getting back to anyone sooner, but there some info to digest. Let me start with - the 46 4 speed transmission does seem to bolt up to the 55 bell housing. I had not considered the brake and clutch - might be a problem. I am still in a quandry over the motor mounts. Even the 46 mounts seem to have an issue. The Master Catalog calls out p/n 3702173. They bolt up to the engine, but there is no way to bolt them to the frame, unless there is a second piece involved. I would really like to see a picture of the stock engine mounts when installed in the truck.
