Va. 1952 tags use the 51 plate with just a metal corner, about 1 1/2 inches X 1 1/2 inches, with the 52 on it that u bolt on over the 51. Korean war times saving metal no doubt. DMV will let u tag truck using these odd plates. I bet most people think the owner just did that to change the year on his own!! I also have the county metal tag that was used back in the day. Both will go with the truck when I sell it this spring if the new owner is from Va. I wonder what other states did this or something simular and can u use em today?
