I own a 1949 panel, and want turn signals with dual lights. I was thinking about fitting new hhr lights in rear but realized won't fit. So I just purchased the bullet style lights your talking about, it will fit and look more period. I don't know if this helps you? You could also get two barn door lights and place on both sides, it would take fabrication to get contact similar to driver side.
