I actually have what I think is a factory bored 228 to 248 Its stamped on the block that way. So I kinda want to keep my orriginal motor. Although there is a nice 270 for sale on eBay. But you never know when getting used stuff. So I'm thinking I'l bite the bullet and spend tons of money on having my engine and tranny rebuilt .
I did work on the linkage again. I found a used linkage assembly on eBay. I took the rod off and tried to use it and could see why it didn't work. I took the messed up rod and made it look like the un mollested one. Then I moddified THAT one. And kept the nice one nice.
The problem I was having with the linkage is the pedal stroke was real jerky and it bound up a little. It feels like I may have made it smoother.
I was willing to go back to the orriginal manifold to make it right.
What is the advantage of this split header if there is one??
