For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Dec 2011 Posts: 133 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Dec 2011 Posts: 133 | I am installing a "55" 235 in my "52" 1/2 ton. The front motor mount that came on the new engine is a one piece rubber mount that bolts to the front plate with one center bolt and has two bolt molded into the rubber to attach to the crossmember. I can not find this mount in any of the manuals or parts catalogs. I have the original mount for the old 216 but this one peice mount would eliminate any clearance issuse with metal touching metal. What vehicle would this one peice mount be designed for? Is there any reason I should not use it over the original for the 216?
