Good show! That's why I like automatic chokes- - - - -they're smarter than all drivers, and most mechanics! With a properly-set automatic choke and fast idle system, just tap the throttle once to allow it to preset itself, and crank the engine without touching the gas pedal. It will start and set itself to the most effective warmup RPM without any input from the driver at all. Correct cold starting with a manual choke is definitely a learned skill.
