Hi... I am in the process or resurrecting a 1928 Chevy. The steering assembly is in remarkably good shape, and I do plan to use it. However, time and mother nature took care of the wood on the steering wheel so that all that is left, are the four spokes and all the wood (circle part) is gone. I don't want to buy new, and I don't want aftermarket, and I don't want to just replace it. I would like to build my own. I have access to a complete woodworking shop and have done extensive wood working projects in the past but I thought I would ask if anyone had ever done this? is there a website that explains how to make a wood steering wheel? materials? plans? In other words, I don't want to reinvent the wheel if somebody has been there and done that... any/all suggestions welcome and appreciated.... Thanks.... Dennis
