You'll need some good air dried stock, high in moisture content, a steam box, steam source, a watch. Prepare your stock, ease all the edges, fire it into the hot steam box, for 1 hour per inch of thickness. Pull it out, and bend it around the form you prepared earlier. Cut your stock long, so you can over lap the ends. Let it sit for a day, pull it off the form, cut the finger joint, or scarf joints on the ends, and glue it up, stick it back on the form. A few days later, pull it off, and do the final shaping.
If you go to the library, there will be books about steam bending, and boat building. If you wanna read all about the process, look for information on plasticizing wood, such as the Wood as an engineering material handbook, this will show you the relationship between moisture content and temperature needed to plasticize the lignan. Steaming is fun.
