Im new to the forum.
I have been on the hunt for the past 12 years or so for a Chevy 5 window truck. When I saw one for the first time at a car show I knew that it would be my next truck. I meet my wife 12 years ago and saw one sitting in a neighbors field down the road from her parents. I made several attempts to purchase it form the gentleman but it has to much sentimental valve to him. His father bought it new and it has been in their family since.
Well A buddy of mine has browsing Kijiji and found a few, but none like the on HIm and I picked up Saturday. It is a 1953 GMC 9300 1/2 ton, with 3 on the tree and a 235 motor, 5 window and it looks to be in original condition so far. Body is in great condition, and the guy I bought it of off was driving it to town and back. It's rare to find a truck like this in my parts unless its been restored. I have a few doubts if it was originally a five window. There are some welds on the inside for the door opening that look rough. I'l post pictures as soon as my photoshare will work.
