Well, I installed the glass in my windshield using a product called 3M Window-weld Urethane #8609. Bought it at NAPA for about $15, and it comes in a tube like caulking. It was easier to apply than I anticipated, and I think it did a real fine job. I would highly recommend it over glass setting tape. If anyone else wants to try it, I'd be happy to share exactly what I did.
