I was just looking at an Edmunds 5X2 intake for my 270 GMC,and I see that the intake is basically a plenum chamber connected to the head by 3 bolt on elbows. Could these elbows be used as the actual manifold,without the plenum chamber? I want a 3X1 set up,but haven't seen one for the GMC engines.I'm thinking a spacer on each upright with a 1 inch tube between them would help balance the intake pulses to make them flow a little smoother. Ideas,comments?
