For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Aug 2011 Posts: 45 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Aug 2011 Posts: 45 | I recently bought a 1940 GMC AC-152 pickup as a retirement project. I have figured out all the ID. numbers except one. On the distributer mounting pad there is a no. 248117352 and directly above the 248 is, in larger stamped numbers, 270. The original engine has been replaced with a 46-54 248 or 270, with block casting no.2135412. Are these numbers on this pad rebuilder numbers, as all the research I have done, nowhere does this number come up. I have really enjoyed reading through the thousands of pages of info since joining in August. Thanks.
The older I get, I only want to work on older rigs.
