| | | | Joined: Aug 2010 Posts: 775 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Aug 2010 Posts: 775 | I have a 46 and I am not sure about a 36 but I would guess its not too different. The metal cross pieces bolt to the metal strips between the wood slats and also into the L slats weleded to the bed sides.Some eariler trucks had metal beds. The there are longer bolts that bolt through the wood slats in the bed into a wood spacer block into the frame rail. There were large washers that are punched off center and counter sunk into the wood bed for the carriage bolt head. You might find some exploded views on Brad's Chevy's or some of the parts catalogs.
