The engine will physicly fit in the engine compartment, but the 292 uses a completely different mounting and bell housing. It uses the side mounts like a V8, and also has the same bellhousing pattern. You'll need to fab the front mounts and use a bellhousing from a '55-'66 V8 truck. I'm certain others can give you more details for this exact swap.
