On the engine, a smallblock Chevy weighs about 41 pounds less than a 235, can't really say about the trannies, but I'm cartain that a 700r4 weighs more than the factory 3 speed. As far as springs go, the question would be what direction are you going with it, and also what year/model truck do you have? If you're running stock suspension, don't worry about it, the stock springs will be fine. Consider a brake upgrade to go with the extra power, though.
