| | | | Joined: May 2011 Posts: 15 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: May 2011 Posts: 15 | On a 46 Chevy PU, how does the steering column cover remove from the steering shaft? I have the column and shaft connected to the steering box. I want to remove the outer steering column cover to paint it and grease the inner bearings. Is there a snap ring holding it in, and if so how do you get to it to slide the cover off?
