You can use your stock ignition and get along fine. Use a NAPA coil IC64 that has the internal ballast resistor,and get a Runtz for your fuel gauge and a HD heater resister from Fifth Avenue and life should be pretty good. You do not need to change anything inside of the distributor....I wrote a book many years ago called "The official 6/12 Conversion Guide" which would help you.
