The fit was tight, it just barely fit but it did fit. My truck is a 1965 fleetside so it has the long box. It will work great for you.
I also used a dolly to take it to the car wash after I pulled the engine. This was risky!!! The front tires kept twisting and I feared it would come loose. Fortunately I didn't have to go far so I made it work. I do NOT recommend the dolly!!!
