It,s interesting. It would be sluggish but would have more power then the old 216. The S-10 runs pretty good with it. It would take a lot of weight off the front end & make the truck steer easier. I,d shure want to go with the manual trans. You would need to use an electric fan because the space between the front of the engine to the radiator would be awkward for a shroud & fan extension.
