| | | | Joined: Oct 2001 Posts: 3,458 Extreme Gabster | | Extreme Gabster Joined: Oct 2001 Posts: 3,458 | If you are going to adapt a standard spin on oil filter to bypass use you need to provide about a 1/8" restriction to the return oil line to keep the oil pressure to the bearings high enough. The bypass filter is designed to only filter about a tenth of the oil flow through the pump. Other than that there should be no problems.
