Its nice to see another Wisconsinite. I may not be in WI any more but I grew up in Superior and my heart is still made of cheese.
You have a nice project there. It looks alot like the one I am doing. Like you I want a restoration that is close to 100% but some minor changes are ok so it can be enjoyed. There is alot of work to be done so I wouldn't worry about the motor for now. Once the truck is almost done you can decide if you want to swap it out. I am running my 216 and it will stay there until it dies. If the babbits or the oiling system cause its death then so be it. There are always alot of 235's out there to swap in as a replacement.
