Yes that should be a 10ga. wire, which is the buss that feeds all the rest of the electrical
system.
The other wire in that loom with the 10ga. wire is goes to the ingnition to supply power to
the ignition.
Boy a picture sure would help. Like the others have said, this is a pretty simple setup,
something is arsbackwards or installed wrong when it was rebuilt, and if we could see it
we might be able to solve it.
