Thanks again for all the kind words. I know the 216 is the corect stock choice but.... Both engines are tight and I just would like things to go as smoothly as possible. Given the amount of repairs that will need to be made to make the 53 run I guess once I tear down the 54 235 that will decide my fate.

Also I am a cheesehead but only by transplantation to make matters worse I am originaly from upper Michigan which makes me a "Yooper" at heart. Growing up in upper Michigan as a diesel mechanic naturaly makes a gear head a complete "tinker" as my daughter would say.
