Well, this has probably been covered before.
I have a 283 that needs a new rear oil seal. I don't need to take the crank out, but would like to get this in. Can I loosen the bearing caps and raise the crank slightly to slide in the new seal? Then re-torque the mains. I believe this is a two piece seal.
Any tips I can use here is really appreciated.
Thanks,
