hello DR my truck has a early 261 engine with a (high)water pump.the block has two round water passage holes.if you go to Patricks website it is on the links section.he has a section on the high and low waterpump issue.i believe he sells a plate to convert to high mount pump.i just replaced my pump and got it at NAPA for about $40.00 good luck Andy
