I'm referring to the tool to remove the nut on the side of a 235 era Delco distributor. This nut is under the nut that holds the wire from the coil on. I takes a spanner wrench.

Bill, those tips don't look like they'd clear the stud.

The ones I've seen are cylindrical, it has a hole for the stud.
