I purchased what I was told was 1957 GMC 4x4 1 ton built originally for the government. The grill says it is a mdl 150 which is a 3/4 ton. VIN #452V S1288G which indicates a 3 ton which is how it drives and feels, with a 270 inline 6, 4 speed with a brownie Box, even the MDL 23 transfer case has hi/lo 2 wheel drive gears along with the standard 4 wheel drive gears.
I believe it is original judging by the original paint color and the unusual drive configuration.
