For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Mar 2011 Posts: 153 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2011 Posts: 153 | Well, the oil is plenty cold. I'm clearly being impatient here at the startup phase which is ironic given that this engine has been sitting in the garage for over 8 years waiting for the restoration to get to this point! I'll definitely check out "companion cylinder". I will run it a while before checking compression again. It occured to me that the rings haven't seated yet either. By the way, what kind of compression numbers should I be looking for when broken in? Thanks for the advice guys! Dave
