1955 - first - motor , rebuilt & balanced , put in a 1939 car . upgraded to 12 volts . had the ring gear " flipped " on the flywheel . she REALLY spins over now , but once in awhile the starter does not engage , sorrta just grinds . after 3 or 4 times of this , it does finally engage . what is the problem & what is the cure ?
