Electric pumps open up a whole new can of worms. The compact ones don't flow enough volume to support high speed operation a warmed-over engine with a 4-BBL carb, and the race pumps have a habit of overpressuring the needle valve and flooding the engine at idle. The next thing you'll be looking for is a pressure regulator.

Just buy a Carter pump, preferrably a new one made in the 1980's or before if somebody on e-Pay happens to have a new old stock item, and do a little surgery on the motor mount. Problem solved!
