I was gonna have the machine shop put together the short block because someone spooked me with tales of clearance problems on the crank bearings. I'm now having second thoughts. This is an incredibly reputable machine shop, and I assume the clearances will be fine all around. Is this thinking correct? I'd really prefer to do all the assembly myself...
