I have a stock 63 C10 with the 283 V8 and 3 spd manual. I am replacing the oil pan gasket. Since I made it that far, I am wondering if I should go ahead and change the rear main seal. Although I have never done that job, it looks simple enough in the shop manual.
I don't believe the rear main seal is leaking. Don't see any oil on the flywheel or clutch. So question is, is it worthwhile to go ahead and change the rear main seal since I am so close and its only $15 for the seal, or should I leave well enough alone?
