Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Mar 2004 Posts: 6,214 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2004 Posts: 6,214 | The hot wire from the ignition switch is incased in the sprial conduit that is attached to the Coil Cap. I'm not 100% sure how they did it in 1946, but the older cars had this set up an you had to un bolt the coil and give it aout 1/8 of a turn to release it. Some of them needed a flat piece of metal slid up into the cap to release a safety tab...can't remember where to tell you to find the tab...you need a service manual. This was all done a an anti-theft device making it hare to hot-wire the car. Mike B  | | |
