Like others have said give Tom a call and send it back if it has loose throttle shafts, you've got 30 days to return. The Holley Weber 32/36's are rebuilt, so you don't know what jets they have, sometimes they are missing. If you're running a 235 you kneed a minimum of a 60 or a 65 idle jet, just to get it to idle within 1+1/2 to 2 turns out. Check it before you send back, its the one on the outside on the choke side. There's more but if the shafts are bad get another. When you get the next one, take it apart and write down all the jet numbers, they take weber jets and you can get online, cheapest is from Carbs Unlimited. Good luck. Oh and why you are at it throw away Toms little individual metal pieces that hold the throttle shafts and make a proper horse shoe shaped replacemet that won't flex.
