The Stovebolt Site Forums The Shop Area Engine Shop Heater Core Troubles......Help!

Hey guys, So I'm replacing my heater core on my 1960 C10 with the deluxe heater. I have the new core I bought from Napa that they say is for this year. Well first off It doesn't have a mounting place for the heat valve. just the 3/4 and 5/8 tubes coming out. I had to by a inline valve. 2nd the inlet and outlet tubes are in different places. They go above the core.( I know the oulet is on the top but my original inlet tube is on the side.) I tried to go to different stores to find a different core. No luck they are all the same style. So my question is Has anyone had this problem? Do I have to modify the top plate that hold the core? can I heat and try to bend the tubes? Is there a place that will sell a core with the inlet tube and valve that's on the side? HELP!
