I am working toward restarting my own project. One thing I have to ask is this, did you try to rotate your engine with the spark plugs in or out? I would try it with them pulled out. It may not change anything but it might. I think it is worth a shot. If your plans have included a rebuild of the engine then I think you have nothing to lose. Good Luck
