| | | | Joined: Jan 2011 Posts: 68 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Jan 2011 Posts: 68 | welcome man, and nice choice on auto. my wife has a 50 fleetline. you will definitely like the 12volt conversion better. replace all the wires that are exposed of course, but the ones that are still insulated you can use w/ 12 volt. 6v systems carry more amperage, so the wires will accept the 12v setup. also, be aware of the small things electrical like gas gauge. your gauges will be 6v, so you will need a voltage reducer so they will work on a 12v system. or you can replace that stuff too. good luck man. there are alot of knowledgeable folks here that can help you out. -DVZ | | |
