That's as good a way as any, just adjust the high beams so the "hot spot" of the beam is level with the headlight height and more or less "straight ahead". The prism in the lens will drop the low beam down and right. There's a special alignment fixture we used to use that clips onto the three little studs built into a sealed beam bulb, but I haven't seen one of those systems in use in years.
