| | | | Joined: Jul 2001 Posts: 3,887 Cruising in the Passing Lane | | Cruising in the Passing Lane Joined: Jul 2001 Posts: 3,887 | it was there as the temperature sensor for "automatic" temperature control - I think GM figured out it was redundant as they eliminated it by the end of the TF series, using the 'temp' lever alone and counting on a stable coolant temp controlled by the engine thermostat
