Members, I have a 54 3100...I put my hood back on the truck and now when I go over a good bump my hood pops open, The safety latch catches keeping it from flying open.
I know how to adjust the top spring...the question is...did I make it too tight that there is so much tension on the latch that it springs free? or is there not enough pressure to hold it down in the latch ..or is my latch adjusted too far back on the front grill...or a combo of all of them?

Just seeing if someone else has done this so I don't have to make an adjustment and go look for a bump to go over to see if it is done correctly.
