I have a 1955 Chevy 235 truck engine in a 1951 Chevy Station Wagon. I got the engine back from the machine shop who built the short block with .040 pistons and new crank & cam. I bolted the head on and finished building the
engine in my garage. Installed the new engine with new Clutch, P-Plate,
Through-out Bearing, motor mounts .... First fire-up was great, the
engine ran smooth and sounded good except…. This engine has great oil pressure as per the dash gauge and good flow through the oil filter. This engine does not have any oil to the rocker rack. The first thing I did was pulled the rocker assembly and disassembled it looking for any sign of a blockage, none found.
I pulled the head and inspected the oil passage past the head-bolt, all
clear and all clean. Oil hole not blocked by the head gasket. I pulled the engine out of the car and dropped the oil pan, It looks like the crank and cam is good and wet with oil front to back. What could be wrong????
