Hi Kary,I did the swap in my 49 Chevy 1/2 ton.Whent from a 235(it was toast so i got one for FREE) to a 250. I bought the kit from Langdon and it was straight forward. I also whent with a TH350, no adapters needed because the 250 has the same bellhousing pattern of a small block v8.Yes it allows for a modern tranny (standard or auto) but what are your plans?...I'm going with an open driveline set up, what are your intensions?
