Some owners of Chevrolets hate the idea of heating the door handle shaft and twisting it to solve the problem, but the real truth is that it is the only real good way to make sure it doesn't droop.
The spring is an "I hope it works." The heat and twist is a "That sure works great!"
I did it on my 37 and it does do the trick!
