The images in your photobucket album show that your alternator installation is similar to the one on my 1968 327. However, I don't see the brace that goes between the upper water pump bolt to the forward end of the alternator support bracket. That brace may be needed to prevent the alternator support bracket from deflecting. How much tension is in the belt? The shop manual calls for 75 pounds, I believe.
